My story about building Forma

When I was 15, I started going to the gym with a few friends.
I just wanted to get fitter.

At first, nothing really changed.
I was putting in the effort, but not seeing the results.

So I started learning.
How training actually works. What drives progress — and what doesn’t.

When I applied those things, everything changed.
I started seeing results.

That’s when training became more than just something I did.
It became something I truly enjoyed.

But I also noticed something important.

What felt simple to me… wasn’t simple for most people.

Friends around me were struggling.
They showed up, tried their best, but didn’t see progress.

When I started helping them — really guiding them — things changed for them too.

And that’s when I realised something:
Helping others get results gave me more satisfaction than reaching my own goals.

Around that time, school wasn’t going well for me.
My grades were too low, and I had a choice:

Repeat the year… or take a different path.

At first, it felt like failure.
But it turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made.

I chose to follow a sports education.

There, I learned about training, the human body, nutrition — but more importantly, how to guide people.

At 17, I started my internship in a gym.
Not long after, I got my first job helping people improve their fitness.

That was the moment it really clicked:

This is what I want to do.

Over the years, I helped more and more people.

I started my own coaching business — Niels Coaching.
In the beginning, I was nervous.

I would visit people at their homes, talk about their habits, help them with nutrition, create training plans.

Slowly, it grew.

I partnered with a larger gym.
Got busier.
Hired two coaches.

That’s when the name changed to Achieve Fitness.

Everything was moving in the right direction.

Until my wife and I made a big decision:

We moved to Sweden.

That also meant leaving the business behind.

Starting over.

I continued with a small group of online clients and began working at a gym in Sweden.

I didn’t speak the language.
Everything was new.

But I did what I had always done:

Step by step, help people.

And once again, I saw the same pattern.

People don’t struggle because they’re lazy.
They struggle because they’re on their own.

During this time, one idea kept coming back:

Starting my own gym again.

But this time — better.

I did the research.
Spoke to gym owners.
Studied what works… and what doesn’t.

And one thing stood out clearly:

Most people don’t fail because they don’t know what to do.
They fail because they can’t stay consistent.

In fact, around 7 out of 10 people struggle to stick to the gym long-term.

Not because they don’t want it.
But because life gets in the way. Motivation fades. Doubt kicks in.

That’s exactly where the right guidance makes the difference.

Having a fixed moment in your week.
Someone expecting you.
A plan that fits your life.
And support when things get difficult.

That’s how you build consistency.
And that’s what leads to real, lasting results.

This is why Forma Linköping exists.

Not to push you to extremes.
Not to make you feel like you have to do everything perfectly.

But to guide you.
At your level.
In a way that you can actually stick to.

If you feel like you’ve tried before…
